In one of the coolest displays of Internet-based religion I’ve seen in quite a while, I present TweetTheExodus. Several rabbanim have created Twitter accounts for the various characters in the Torah narrative of the Exodus and are recreating the story, one tweet at a time. From a purely academic point of view, this represents a new form of religious performance. From a personal point of view, I think this is an absolutely brilliant use of this social community.
