Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead
A surrealist, existential film that tells the story of Shakespeare’s Hamlet from the perspective of two very minor characters. Entertaining, especially if you’re sleep deprived and it’s 1am.

A Home at the End of the World
An alternative family (a gay man, his childhood male friend, and their straight female friend/lover) decide to raise a child in the mid-1980s.

Shades of Ray
A half-Pakistani, half-White man proposes to his girlfriend and while he’s awaiting her response, meets the only other half-Pakistani, half-White person he’s ever met—and she’s a girl.

Easy A
A very loose “adaptation” of The Scarlet Letter told in a high school; a girl destroys her reputation by pretending to be promiscuous in order to help others.
